Christmas 2018 Delivery and Posting Deadlines

Christmas is fast approaching (I know, I know). If, like many of us, you have family and friends living far away, it’s likely that you’re going to want to send some gifts by post.

​As the stresses of the Christmas season creep up on you, we thought now would be a good time to let you know the latest posting dates you can send your gifts to the rest of the UK, Europe, the USA, and further afield.

When does Christmas Post Stop in the UK?

If you’re sending gifts domestically within the UK, Royal Mail will likely be your go-to courier service. Their deadline for delivery by Christmas Day this year are as follows:

• 18 December for 2nd class mail
• 20 December for 1st class mail
• 21 December for Royal Mail Tracked 24 ®
• 22 December for Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed®

Latest Recommended Dates if You’re Shipping from the US?

​If you’re shipping internationally from the USA, the United States Postal Service (USPS) guarantee Christmas Day delivery if you send you packages by: 

• 19 December with USPS Global Express Guaranteed
• 1 December with USPS’ First-Class Package International Service

When Does Christmas Post Stop if You’re Shipping from a European Country?

If you’re based in a European country (including Scandinavia) United Parcel Service (UPS) offer some of the most affordable international shipping and will deliver your packages internationally by Christmas Day if you send your gifts by:
